Tutej na kaczkę 2020 - the best duck in Poznań - we know the winners!
Next to the St Martin’s croissant, duck might be the most characteristic Wielkopolska regional dish. Which restaurant excels and specialises in this specialty? Where is Poznań’s best duck? An experienced jury attempted to find the answer to this very question during the Jarmark Dobrego Smaku - XIV Ogólnopolski Festiwal Dobrego Smaku - this year’s edition of the Good Taste Festival - trying and tasting as many as 20 dishes from various parts of Poland to award the best duck delicacy. Among Poznań-based restaurants the highest rank went to 3 Kolory Malta, with Restauracja Flavoria (IBB Andersia Hotel), Restauracja ZA MUREM, Punkt Widzenia Restaurant & Bar (Skórzewo) and Viva Pomodori receiving 2020/2021 recommendations. The identities of all the participating restaurants were known only to the organizer. The jury consisted of a dozen or so people, including restaurateurs, culinary reviewers, journalists and bloggers. We, Poznań Tourism Organisation, were also lucky enough to get a seat at the jury table. Therefore, we have first-hand information and, most importantly, we were able to try all the dishes and express our opinions on the grade cards. During the competition, we did not know whose dishes we were sampling, which definitely facilitated a critical approach and a verdict in isolation from any and all personal preferences. The results of Kaczka 2020 Culinary Competition, which took place in Restaurant ZA MUREM as part of the Good Taste Fair - XIV National Festival of Good Taste were announced on 15 August 2020 in the Old Market Square in Poznań. The recommendations awarded are distinctions for the 2020/2021 season.
