January in Poznań

January in Poznan won't be boring. Jazz concerts will provide entertainment on cold evenings. The highlight of the month is definitely the 25th Finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity, which traditionally will take place in front of the Centrum Kultury Zamek. What else will happen in January in Poznan?

25. Finale of Grand Orchestra of Christmas Charity

The Finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity will be held this year for the 25th time. Traditionally Poznan finale will take place in front of the Centrum Kultury Zamek and at the Mickiewicz squre.

JazZamek #4 / Robert Mitchell Trio - koncert

Robert Mitchell presents a new band and a new project. The artist develops concepts of musical "Invocation" (song for choir and jazz quartet), but in the trio format, they have a very intimate sound. Mitchell refers to the problems of inequality and divisions, migration, constant pursuit of peace ... We will hear music inspired by freedom, groove, Ubuntu, trust, love and loss.

234 metry kwadratowe Poznania - exhibition

Place: Muzeum Archeologiczne w Poznaniu, ul. Wodna 27

 

Unusual discoveries for centuries hidden under the pavement of Old Town Poznan, have been exposed in the Archeological Museum of Poznań. The exhibition "234 metry kwadratowe Poznania" (234 square meters of Poznan) is available for the public from 16th December 2016 to 31st August 2017.

In the near future, the Old Market Square will be revitalized. Revitalization plans have created favorable conditions to carry out archaeological research leading future investment. This exhibition is a chance to explore, what was hidden under the Old Market Square.
