Main celebrations of 100th anniversary of Wielkopolskie Uprising 1918/19 behind us, but the Uprising is not only few last days of December. Learn more about this remarkable revolt!
Celebrating the Wielkopolskie Uprising focuses mostly on December 26th, but the revolt officialy lasted until 16th of February. Even then, military actions did not stop. These were few more months of arduous work having the effect in freeing Poland from occupants.

Museum of Wielkopolskie Uprising 1918/19
On the Old Market Square, in the building of former Guard House the Museum Of Wielkopolskie Uprising is placed. The structure itslef is a souvenir itself. This is from where Poznań’s army of that time marched to the uprising.
In the renewd in the end of 2017 interiors you will find new exhibition Powstanie Wielkopolskie 1918-1819. Droga do Niepodległości. Among many exhibits full military equipment and also daily life items like camera of K. Greger who immortalised those events, documents, military decorations, photos and other graphics.

Museum of History of Poznań
True cross-section of history of Poznań. Besides souvenirs from period of almost 1000 years you will encounter special exhibition Birth of Modern City. Poznań in 1918 – 1929. - a tale about achievements of first decade after regaining the independence by Poles.

Wielkopolska Military Museum
Exhibition Signs of Victory in Wielkopolska. In 100 years of Wielkopolskie Uprising 1918/19 highlights military but also civil service due to which the uprising turned out to be such success. Presented exhibits are documents, photos, flags, badges and more.

A place, in which extraordinary composer Ignacy Jan Paderewski delivered a great speech ecouraging locals, and Wielkopolska people after, to revolt against Prussia and other occupants. Located in the corner of Paderewskiego and al. Marcinkowskiego streets. Today, prestigious office, mercantile and gastronomical space.
Monument of Wielkopolska’s Insurgents
Commemorates rebelians of 1818/19. Located in Park Drwęskich, in the corner of streets Wierzbięcicie and Królowej Jadwigi.
